Hike to hut Pesnik
Mountain hut Pesnik is located in a small mountain hamlet on the grass-covered plateau of Ribniško Pohorje. The building was built before World War II.
In 1945, the hut was modestly furnished and opened under the name Shelter on Pesnik. During that time, it carried more of a significance due to the fact that the nearby hut Ribniška koča was burned down during the war.
For this hike, start from the centre of the village Ribnica na Pohorju and go past the ski slope towards Ribniška koča. On a glade, at the altitude of 1101 meters, you will catch sight of the hut Pesnik.
The hut is also accesible by car. Beautiful nature and animals surrounding it are right on cue for a carefree family retreat. From there, a marvelous view streches across nearby mountain tops of Pohorje and the Drava valley.
