Drava cycling route
Drava cycling route is, with its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, the most beautiful cycling route in Europe.
It begins at the Drava River spring in Italy, continues its way across Austria to Slovenia. It leads through Dravograd, Maribor, and Ptuj, all the way to the Slovenian-Croatian border. Slovenian part of the route is carried out on the roads with less traffic, local and cycling routes.
Slovenian part of the road is specific for its various types of roads and somewhat difficult ascent between Podvelka and Lovrenc na Pohorju. This is why this part of the route is more appropriate for better-prepared cyclists. The use of trekking or mountain bikes is recommended.
