Drava cycling route

Drava cycling route is the most beautiful cycling route in Europe, thanks to the natural beauty and the rich cultural heritage of the landscape that streches alongside the trail.

The trail begins at the source of the Drava river in Italy, then continues its way across Austria to Slovenia. Here, it extents through Dravograd, Maribor and Ptuj, all the way to the Slovenian-Croatian border. Slovenian part of the trail is set up on the roads with less traffic, local roads and cycling routes.

Slovenian part of the trail is distinctive for its various types of roads and a somewhat difficult ascend between Podvelka and Lovrenc na Pohorju. That is why this part of the route is more appropriate for better-prepared cyclists. The use of trekking or mountain bikes is recommended.
